What We Do

House of Winchester Learning Designs consults in three practice areas: Personal & Professional Development (PPD), Curriculum Design & Support (CDS), and Thought Partnership. We look forward to collaborating with you!

Personal & Professional Development (PPD)

While the opportunity to curate environments for human learning is a humbling privilege, it requires intentionality, critical self-reflection, preparation, and love. While these ideas seem commonsensical, they are often minimized or excluded from environments where learning is expected to occur. Our personal and professional development centers these ideas as relational practices integrating vanguard research from multiple interdisciplinary fields including but not limited to learning sciences, sociology, psychology, policy, and education. These learning experiences are designed, coordinated and facilitated in ways that are in conversation with the organizational and institutional structures that allow for personal and professional learning individually and collectively.

Curriculum Design & Support (CDS)

Designing curriculum for implementation and instruction is a tall order that should be done in a way that is iterative, reflective, responsive, receptive to the needs and experiences of those for whom they are designed. We offer a comprehensive collaborative co-design process for building curricular learning experiences that are rooted in the communities where they are practiced. We support curriculum design for an array of purposes, from singular lesson plans to entire programmatic arcs.

Thought Partnership

Sometimes being an educator can be isolating work especially as hierarchies and positionality within institutions can leave individuals engaging in development, planning, imagining, and implementation on an island. We offer frameworks, structures, and opportunities to serve as thought-partners in moving from dreams to enactment.
